Recall Alert: Lamborghini Countach – Kelley Blue Book

2022 Lamborghini Countach LPI800-4

2022 Lamborghini Countach LPI800-4Lamborghini has issued a recall alert for — oh, it might be easier to just call the nine people this affects.

Still, we aim to be thorough. So, let’s go through with it.

Lamborghini has issued a recall alert for all nine examples of the 2022 Lamborghini Countach it sold in the United States.

In documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the company explains, “the rear bonnet glass panels could fully detach from the vehicle, creating a road hazard and increasing the safety-risk of a crash for following traffic.”

A supplier is at fault, the company insists. Dealers will inspect the bonding of the rear glass and, if necessary, replace them. The repair is free.

Which it should be, considering that each of those nine owners spent around $2.64 million for the car that revived the Countach name. The glass panels, incidentally, cover a 6.5-liter V12, which, mated to a hybrid drivetrain, lays down 814 horsepower.

Automakers recall many cars to fix safety defects, sometimes more than once. They try to contact every owner to ask them to bring the vehicle in for repair. But they rarely reach them all. Millions of vehicles on American roads need free recall repairs. Check the easy VIN tool at our recall center to find out if your car is one of them.
