Toyota adds more than 1.1M vehicles to previous fuel pump recall

A Toyota and Lexus remember that previously listed approximately 700,000 probably impacted autos has been amended to incorporate more than 1.1 million new rides. Total, more than 1.8 million cars and trucks, trucks, crossovers, and SUVs are component of a voluntary remember relating to fuel pumps that may possibly halt working.   

On January thirteen, 2020, Toyota declared a safety remember for 695,541 Lexus and Toyota designs. It included the Toyota 4Runner, Camry, Highlander, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma, Avalon, Corolla, and Tundra, as well as the Lexus LS 500, LC 500, RC 350, RC 300, GS 350, IS 300, ES 350, LX 570, GX 460, RX 350 NX 300, RX 350L, and GS 300. On these autos, a small-strain fuel pump inside of the fuel tank could fall short. If this fuel pump fails whilst the vehicle is in use, the vehicle could sputter and stall. Without having warning of the impending malfunction, other than some lights on the dashboard, this could current a hazardous problem for the driver. 

For all impacted autos, Toyota and Lexus will change the defective parts with “enhanced” fuel pumps. Notifications will commence in May.
