Fast-wondering workers have intervened to prevent a person allegedly making an attempt to steal a scarce Ferrari off the showroom flooring in Melbourne.
A man has been arrested right after allegedly attempting to drive off in a 2022 Ferrari F8 in Melbourne on Friday early morning.
Police have been termed to a luxurious motor vehicle dealership in Port Melbourne just ahead of 10am after staff members activated security protocols, which prevented the Ferrari from being driven off the premises.
A 28-calendar year-old person was arrested and taken into custody.
Though the Ferrari F8 was around $500,000 when new, rates have practically doubled on the employed-motor vehicle market place in Australia – with the F8 rumoured to be the last mid-engine design to be released by the Italian maker without having hybrid aid.
The F8 is run by a 3.9-litre turbocharged V8 developing 530kW and 770Nm, capable of sending the supercar to 100km/h from a standstill in much less than three seconds.
Victoria Police say a male from Werribee in Melbourne’s west is now aiding with their enquiries.
