New Subaru Solterra STI concept previews hot electric SUV

Subaru has unveiled a Solterra STI strategy car at this year’s Tokyo Automobile Salon, supplying an early flavor of what could be a manufacturing version of the sporty electric crossover later on down the line. The STI version gets an aggressive styling makeover, while Subaru has not launched effectiveness figures for the higher-effectiveness strategy EV. 

The Solterra STI strategy gets a special lilac colourscheme, and numerous aero modifications to set it apart from the typical version. The entrance bumper is carried more than from the present car, with an angular facia and black plastic wheelarch cladding that extends to the headlights.

The STI version gets a well known entrance splitter concluded in cherry red for a more sporting look, but the wheels are shared with other Solterra styles, save for a special gloss black end with red accents. The STI strategy does, on the other hand, use sportier Dunlop Activity Maxx rubber, hinting at its elevated effectiveness. 

The red accents have as a result of to the extended aspect sills of the car, which characteristic aero fins forward of the rear wheels. As with the typical Solterra, the STI strategy gets gloss black doorway mirrors and a black roof, which visibly lowers the car’s roofline.

In accurate STI manner, Subaru has fitted the sportiest Solterra with a large rear wing that options red STI logos on the close-plates. The rear bumper is similar to other Solterras’, while compact aero extensions have been extra powering the rear wheels.

Subaru has not launched any interior pictures, but we’d expect a chunkier sports activities steering wheel, more supportive seats and even further red detailing in the cabin. The Solterra’s unique dashboard style and design, with a large infotainment touchscreen and a higher-set electronic instrument panel, will continue to be if the STI reaches manufacturing.
