LOS ANGELES — Mazda North American Functions has appointed Yasutake Tsuchida as senior director of design, also overseeing following-technology car or truck scheduling and model method progress.
Tsuchida, whose appointment is effective immediately, replaces Julien Montousse, Mazda said.
Montousse grew to become vice president of design and innovation at the Archer Aviation startup in November 2020 just after twelve several years in design roles at Mazda North American Functions, in accordance to his LinkedIn page.
Tsuchida has 22 several years of practical experience at Mazda’s headquarters in Hiroshima, Japan, and was chief designer of the existing technology of the Mazda3 compact automobile, the enterprise said. Formerly, Tsuchida was the chief designer of the Kai idea shown in 2017 and lead designer for the now-discontinued CX-seven crossover in the early 2000s.
