Jeep sweeps Rebelle Rally podium and pockets first-time electrified finish

The 2021 Rebelle Rally was excellent for Jeep. Its new Wrangler 4xe plug-in hybrid became the first electrified motor vehicle to finish the annual women’s off-street endurance party, using first and next spot. An additional Wrangler (non-4xe) took 3rd, completing the sweep, and five of the leading 10 finishers in the sixth-annual managing of the 1,500-mile desert training course.

Very first spot went to 4xEventure, with Nena Barlow and Teralin Petereit at the helm of Wrangler 4xe # 129, which under no circumstances concluded decreased than 3rd in any of the Rebelle Rally’s 7 phases. Group Jeep Thrills, pushed by mother-daughter group Christine and Emily Benzie, brought the #177 Wrangler 4xe in next, using 1 phase gain. These two groups also place Jeep’s entrants 1-2 in the Bone Stock group to boot. Jeep also sponsored Group Asdzáá Skoden Rebelles (#a hundred and sixty) of Shandiina Peters and Racquel Black, the first all-Navajo group to compete in the Rally.

“The training course was far more tough than ever this year, but the Wrangler 4xe manufactured it uncomplicated,” stated Nena Barlow of Group 4xEventure. “We torqued up dunes and rock-crawled mountains and washes with ease and efficiency. Not to mention, we under no circumstances lacked for array or electricity.”

“The Jeep brand has supported the Rebelle Rally considering the fact that the starting six years back and, this year, we ended up energized to showcase the new Wrangler 4xe in the most tricky off-street rally situations,” stated Jeep Vice President Jim Morrison, in the company’s announcement. “It’s a testament to our groups in the race and our engineering groups at household that this year Jeep Wrangler swept the podium, with two Wrangler 4xe SUVs inserting first and next in general, as perfectly using the Bone Stock and electrified awards without the need of a one situation the whole Rally. Congratulations to anyone who rallied this year.”

Jeep has now taken the in general victory in five of the Rebelle Rally’s six runnings to date. We hope manufacturer opposition to get stiffer as the sizzling 4×4 section continues to broaden, and we are sure Ford would like to see its revived Bronco on the podium faster rather than later. Jeep could be listening to hoofbeats, as Shelby Corridor and Penny Dale positioned fourth in a Bronco.
