Elon Musk apologizes for Tesla app going down from server outage

Tesla Inc. CEO Elon Musk explained on Friday that the company’s mobile software was coming back online just after an application server outage previously prevented numerous proprietors from connecting to their automobiles.

Musk was responding to a Tesla owner’s tweet, who explained that he was experiencing a “five hundred server error” to join his Model 3 through the iOS application in Seoul, South Korea.

“Should be coming back online now. Appears like we could have accidentally enhanced verbosity of network targeted visitors,” Musk explained.

The outage was 1st reported by Electrek.

About five hundred consumers reported they faced an error at about 4:40 p.m. EST, in accordance to outage monitoring web page Downdetector, which tracks outages by collating position reviews from a series of resources, including user-submitted errors on its system. There have been just above sixty reviews at about nine:20 p.m. EST.

“Apologies, we will take steps to make certain this would not happen yet again,” Musk tweeted.
