Castroneves to chase 5th Indy 500 with MSR

INDIANAPOLIS — Helio Castroneves will race for a report fifth Indianapolis 500 in 2022 with Meyer Shank Racing.

Castroneves, who gained his report-tying fourth Indy 500 in Might, has agreed to a total period journey with Meyer Shank. Castroneves only has a partial timetable this period with Meyer Shank and has not raced given that he joined A.J. Foyt, Al Unser Sr. and Rick Mears, his former mentor at Team Penske, as the only four-time winners of “The Best Spectacle in Racing.” He’s next scheduled to race in August at Nashville.

He’ll push the No. 06 Honda in 2022.

“I am thrilled to get the chance to go for a fifth Indianapolis 500 gain, and so fired up to fight for the IndyCar championship once more with a total period of races next 12 months with Meyer Shank Racing,” Castroneves mentioned.

MSR ideas to insert a 2nd driver to its 2022 slate. The workforce will move on from latest driver Jack Harvey.
