New Delhi: Ashok Leyland, the flagship of the Hinduja Team, on Friday announced the commencement of business output of buses at its new plant in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh.
“We would like to notify you that business output of buses at the plant set up in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, has commenced from February 19, 2021,” the organization reported in a regulatory submitting.
Situated forty km away from Vijayawada, this plant spread more than seventy five acres has the most recent systems to supply the large top quality standards of the Ashok Leyland brand. The facility, which is the initial of Ashok Leyland plant in Andhra Pradesh, has the capacity to produce 4800 buses a year, and also has a state-of-the-art learning centre and an advanced support education centre.
It also includes an electric powered automobile advancement centre comprising a futuristic conveyor line, pilot assembly line and prototype advancement.
Developed with an investment decision of INR a hundred and forty crore, the facility has the ability to make the entire range of buses of the Ashok Leyland brand, claims the organization.
According to Ashok Leyland, the Vijaywada plant is a full inexperienced facility, with rooftop photo voltaic panels, LED lights, battery-operated motor vehicles for in-plant movement, optimistic drinking water stability and zero discharge.
