Toyota furloughs seven lines in five Japanese plants | Automotive Industry News

“Thanks to the marketplace predicament and decline in demand abroad”, Toyota Motor Company (TMC) has decided to halt manufacturing on seven production strains in 5 Japanese crops starting from three April.

The suspension interval may differ by plant and manufacturing line.

  • Takaoka Plant, #one manufacturing line
  • three operating days from three-7 April
  • Tsutsumi Plant, #one and #two manufacturing strains
  • three operating days from three-7 April
  • Tahara Plant, #one manufacturing line
  • 6 operating days from three-ten April
  • Tahara Plant, #three manufacturing line
  • 8 operating days from three-14 April
  • Toyota Motor Kyushu (TMK), #one manufacturing line
  • nine operating days from three-15 April
  • Hino, Hamura Plant, #one manufacturing line
  • two operating days from three-6 April

Vegetation and manufacturing strains other than stated will continue to be in operation as common, TMC said in a statement.
